I completed an enjoyable 35-year military career, mainly in operational command and staff positions across Canada and on four continents.

After retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces, I served as an analyst in the Library of Parliament, from 2005-2011, supporting the House of Commons Special Committee on the Canadian Mission in Afghanistan, the House of Commons Standing Committees on National Defence and Veterans Affairs, the Standing Senate Committee on National Security and Defence, the Senate Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs and the Canadian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. I also served as the Vice-President Academic Affairs with the Canadian Military Intelligence Association from 2012-2015. For the last 10 years, I taught graduate level intelligence courses at Carleton and Wilfrid Laurier Universities. I sit on the Council of Governors of Commissionaires Ottawa, and on the Board of Directors of Perley Health. I am also privileged to be Chair, CIN/RCR. Recognizing there is always more to learn, I have recently returned to school as a part-time graduate student, pursuing an MA in Philosophy at Carleton University, studying the philosophy of intelligence.
