THE 2025 CANADIAN INTELLIGENCE CONFERENCE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO TUESDAY, 17 JUNE 2025

CANIC 2025

TUESDAY, 17 JUNE 2025

Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, 200 Coventry Road, Ottawa

During the current federal election period, and afterward until a new government is formed, the government has adopted a caretaker mode. This development had an adverse effect on the attendance and participation of many senior public service and military appointments. Accordingly, CANIC 2025 has been postponed to Tuesday, 17 June 2025, well after the expected appointment of a new government in May.

Candyce Kelshall
26 October 1969-10 April 2025

With great sadness, we acknowledge the passing of our Vice-President, Candyce Kelshall, on 10 April 20205

Candyce was one of the CIN/RCR originals. She was the first to answer my convening note and her continuing energy, vision, and advice were greatly valued. We were fortunate to have her on the team.

Candyce was one of Canada's top national security and intelligence academic champions. She was active on a number of university faculties and often sought out for expert commentary by the media. Her voice extended across the country.

Candyce was best known for her extraordinary leadership of CASIS Vancouver, and its signature event, the annual West Coast Security Conference. She shaped a generation of young scholars. Her energy seemed boundless. She was a strong and fearless voice on a number of issues and never shied away from offering her opinion, which invariably turned out to be good advice.

We will miss her.
