WELCOME NEW MEMBER NICOLAS BUREAU

Ladies and gentlemen,

I is my great pleasure to introduce Nicolas Bureau as our newest CIN/RCR member.

Nicolas has served as Coordinator of the Centre de Recherche sur la Gestion de l’Information de Sécurité, working alongside former senior officers from several Canadian law enforcement agencies, including the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (formerly SPCUM), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the Sûreté du Québec. He re-engaged with the field in 2009 through a deliberate commitment to studying iintelligence theory, practice, and strategic implications seeking to understand intelligence in its broadest sense, from classical doctrine to contemporary operational realities.

Nicolas has been a member of RAS-NSA for several years and is also a member of CASIS-Vancouver and CASIS-ACERS. He is currently pursuing studies in cyber investigations at Polytechnique Montréal, further developing competencies aligned with modern intelligence practice, particularly in open-source intelligence (OSINT), digital evidence analysis, and structured analytical methodologies. Nicolas views intelligence not only as a professional field, but as a civic responsibility, particularly in an era marked by strategic instability, information warfare, and technological disruption

Welcome aboard Nicolas. We are happy to have you with us, and we look forward to exploring all these issues.

Best regards,

Jim
