LOG-IN AND ACCESS DIFFICULTY

Ladies and gentlemen, this note aims to let you know about technical difficulties associated with signing-in a new member.

For the past three weeks I have worked with a new member who originally signed in from near Halifax. I approved the sign-in. A day or two later, he signed in for a $25 regular membership when the pricing plans were erroneously activated for a day (my bad). I cancelled his paid subscription (membership is free until 1 May). Unfortunately, while the system still showed him as an approved site member, he did not have access to all member pages.

So, with his permission, we deleted him entirely from the roster and had him re-sign-in again. I approved him again, but still he had no access to member pages. We repeated the process with the same result.

We then met online and when I tried to log-in on my computer, using his detail, I too was unable to access member pages.

Again with agreement, we deleted him from the system and a day later he logged in using an entirely new user name, a new password and a new email domain. I approved it. Still he had no access to pages. This process too was repeated today, with the same result - no access.

My consultations with the website IT staff have provided no solutions, despite their interest in doing so. We're stumped.

Regrettably the new member has decided to cease efforts to sign-in to CIN. Maybe he will try again in the future.

I offer you this info, just to alert you to possible anomalies. As far as I know, everyone else has the full access they should have. Please let me know if you don't.

Thanks again. I stayed busy during this period away from the CIN. Some few collaboration pertaining to our National Security and getting the pool ready for the season.
