STRATEGIC CONSORTIUM OF INTELLIGENCE PROFESSIONALS
Ladies and gentlemen,
The broader agenda of CIN/RCR is to think beyond the traditional, parochial intelligence paradigms that tend to restrict Canadian intelligence studies to government, the military and law enforcement. One of those 'non-traditional' areas, at least in Canada, is competitive intelligence.
The Strategic Consortium of Intelligence Professionals (SCIP) is a US-based 35-year-old non-profit consortium of Intelligence thought leaders that advance Intelligence-driven strategy and outcomes through Accredited Training and Certification, Organizational Advisement and Consultancy, Public and Private Sector Partnerships and Stakeholder Community Inclusion. See https://www.scip.org/.
I first attended a SCIP international conference in 1999, while serving in the NATO strategic intelligence staff, and have been a member ever since.
Today, the SCIP professional development program remains impressive and the international conferences are worth attending, if your organization can pay your way. The next big conference is in Barcelona, Spain in early December. See https://www.scip.org/page/IntelliCon-Call-For-Proposals-Barcelona-2024
An interesting SCIP video is at https://ai.reportlinker.com/en/resources/blog/best-pratices/a-ceos-perspective-on-intelligence.html
A sample of a SCIP podcast can be found in their podcasts, the most recent is at
